From the shelter there is a view to the bog in which people of the Iron Age sacrificed thousands of weapons and other equipment from defeated armies.

There is no access to water and toilet at the shelter, but these facilities can be found by the parking near Foerlev Møllegård and Fuglsang rest area which both have access to the foot path surrounding the valley.

Bring your own firewood.

It is not necessary to book the shelter in advance.
